ToCo - Tournament Committee 2006-2007

Van Slag has a long tradition in tournaments. These are often played between two competition rounds, but each season also ends with a spectacular tournament! Examples of our tournaments are the 3x3 tournament, winterwonderland, beachvolleyball, sitvolley, etcetera.

Since the 2004-2005 season, these tournaments are organised by a tournamentcommittee (ToCo). This season the ToCo is: Pieter Guldenmund (De Dieseltjes) and Nicole Kattenpoel (Los!).

Apart from organising the Van Slag tournaments this committee also keeps a record of all interesting volleybal tournaments in the Netherlands, such as the HaramBIX-tournament in Enschede and the Jiba Beach Volley Circuit.

More and more Van Slag players visit the various tournaments each year, and some have even been known to win some of the tournaments! So, indirectly, the ToCo also works on Van Slag's reputation nationwide! Something to be proud of!

Do you feel like organising a tournament once in a while and keep a record of all interesting Dutch tournaments? Send an e-mail to:

No strings attached, so feel free to send an e-mail even if you're not 100% sure you want to join this committee!

Geraldine Haverkamp
in action

In the 2005-2006 season we only had one committee member: Geraldine Haverkamp (Meiden Met Ballen). It must've been hard work because the tournaments showed no sign of having only half a committee! Well done for Geraldine!

In the season 2004-2005 the committee consisted of Linda Hofstee (Shitterend!) and Kim Pennings (Volleywood). You have probably met Linda already, she is Van Slag's new team co-ordinator (and has been since 2005-2006). Kim has moved to the far north (or as far north as you can go within the Netherlands), so we really needed new committee members after this season.
