Rules for subscription
Membership: Olympos sports centre card & Van Slag
To become a member of Van Slag you have to:
- Be in possession of an Olympos Sports Centre membership card,
- Subscribe with Van Slag at the Olympos Sports Desk.
The Olympos membership card: category A, B en C
Because you are using the sports complex of Olympos, you are obligated to purchase the Sports Card. The Sports Card is available for three categories:
Category A ( EUR 12,- per year )- Students at Utrecht University (UU) and the University of Professional Education Utrecht (HvU)
- Staff at UU, HvU (including PhD students and trainee research assistants) and at the Institute for physiotherapy Thim van der Laan
- UU graduates who graduated no more than two years prior to the time of registration
- Students of other higher education institutions
- Other
You can register at the Olympos sports centre service desk. When applying for a membership card, you will be asked for proof that you are a student/exchange student or staff/visiting staff. You will need some form of identification, e.g. a student card and a faculty registration document or a copy of a recent salary statement.

Membership Van Slag
Starting at August 29th, you can subscribe at Van Slag. To become a member you have to fill out the registration form. You can obtain such form when showing your Olympos Sports Card at the Olympos Sports Desk. You do not need to have a passport photo for this.
The membership fee is EUR 32,50 for the whole season (1 year) and will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account by standing order. This fee is equal for all categories of the Olympos Sports Card.
Subscribing as individual
Most students subscribe as individuals. You are classified based on the level that you have indicated on the registration form. You probably will come in a team with new other individual players. If you have a high level, you are probably placed in an already existing team.
Subscribing as a complete team
With a minimum of six uniquely paying members you can subscribe as a complete team. This can be indicated on the subscription form. Someone in your team who is also playing in another team, is not seen as a uniquely paying player. Per team, a maximum of two double players is allowed.
Being a member of multiple teams
For now, playing in two teams is sustained. You can subscribe for a maximum of two teams. However, you will pay the contribution twice and a team can have a maximum of two double players.
Trainings
The membership fee of EUR 32,50 is excluding trainings. Trainings are optional and are taken care of by Olympos, and subscribing for these is not mandatory, so you will have to subscribe with Olympos in case you wish to attend these. If you are playing in the A or B poule, it is advised to follow these trainings though. For more information, see the site of Olympos (Dutch).
For the lowest groups we will, similarly to last year, offer introductory trainings. A special committee will be established to facilitate this, and more information about the trainings will follow shortly.
Rules of subscription for A-card holders
When you are an A-card holder you are a student, and as a student you can just subscribe for Van Slag.
Rules of subscription for B-card holders
As B-card holder you are no longer a student. However, you can subscribe without any problems for Van Slag.
